Welcome to our Nursery. We specialize in Perennial Vegetables that are hard to find. Our plants are useful for both ornamental and subsistence gardening. Many of these foods have been historically used by different indigenous cultures. These plants fill an important niche in the seasonal diet. February to June is often the hardest time to find fresh food, these plants address that "hunger gap" that throughout history has been one of the most challenging times in temperate regions. These plants can be harvested at those times by digging up the roots or cutting the early greens.
People tend to build their cultures around their food. I believe the foods below can act as "Cultural Keystone Foods" for people who are taking subsistence into there own hands. The nice thing about perennial vegetables is that they are plants you plant once and depend on year after year.
May these plants Nourish you.
